Objectives also\u00a0include protection of local knowledge on mangroves, strengthening biodiversity conservation, natural\u00a0resource management and in assist in the fight against climate change.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluepeacemv.org\/mangroves\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/mangrove-poster-booklet2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-612\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bluepeacemv.org\/mangroves\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/mangrove-poster-booklet2.jpg\" alt=\"mangrove-poster-booklet2\" width=\"801\" height=\"389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bluepeacemv.org\/mangroves\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/mangrove-poster-booklet2.jpg 801w, https:\/\/www.bluepeacemv.org\/mangroves\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/mangrove-poster-booklet2-300x146.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.bluepeacemv.org\/mangroves\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/mangrove-poster-booklet2-768x373.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 801px) 100vw, 801px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><em>Poster and booklet published for Conservation and Management of Maldivian Mangrove Habitats.<\/em><\/div>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Specific activities carried out under the project include;<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Under the project a study was carried out establishing a baseline of environmental conditions of\u00a0significant mangrove habitats of Haa Alifu Filladhoo, Haa Alifu Baarah, Haa Dhaalu\u00a0Neykurendhoo and Haa Dhaalu Keylakunu.<\/li>\n<li>Under\u00a0the project an informative website has been developed with detailed information on the\u00a0mangrove eco systems of Haa Alifu Filladhoo, Haa Alifu Baarah, Haa Dhaalu Neykurendhoo and\u00a0Haa Dhaalu Keylakunu with information on best practices of mangrove protection.<\/li>\n<li>Conducted community awareness programme to protect the mangroves in the future, focusing\u00a0on conservation of the mangroves systems and the importance of it in protecting the islands\u00a0from future natural disasters and in the fight against climate change. Billboards, Posters and a\u00a0booklet on mangroves were developed to create awareness on the importance of protecting the\u00a0mangroves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_591\"
